Internet Recovery going on 12 hours.

All the articles i can find suggest it can be over an hour depending on equipment and internet speed. The globe has been revolving for just about 12 hours now.

I chose this route because the kernel seemed to be panicking and the only new software i had installed was that to operate the GoPro and the quik software that goes along with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I always keep my imac updated with the latest versions of OS X.

You can create a USB installer with the latest macOS if you have another Mac around or borrow one.

Sounds as if you are discussing a MACOS issue not an IOS one so you might want to move thread to the Mac OS section of the forum - you might get more help there
