Internet Sharing problem

Where I'm at, I have an ethernet in the wall, but not in wifi range. How can I get the internet sharing to work to share that connection via wifi to my iPad? It doesn't see the network. It's from Thunderbolt Ethernet to WiFi, has a name and password.

Yea my bad.

my iPhone/iPad doesn't see the network my Macbook should be creating.

Does it work if you turn the security off?

Nope. No security. I even tried connecting to the name directly as if it were a hidden network.
