Have you checked with your Internet provider? Seems more like bandwidth problems than hardware problems.

If you're using airport plug directly into your router using an ethernet cable.

If it is still slow on ethernet its isp issues

How far from the router are you? I would suggest bringing the MBP right next to the router and testing your connection. If everything works from that distance than it is likely an interference issue. I've been going through similar problems and have even spoke to AppleCare about it.
