I'm on a small office network and our internet runs off a T1. We all have our moments of slow speed, but mine is constant and is at dog slow speed. When I ck the speed online, it reads... Download - 1019 and Upload 1313. But when I go to google it can take up to 10 seconds or so to load. I was wondering if it could be a virus. Is it possible for someone on the outside getting into my computer? Is it possible for someone to be able to look at my computer online or look at what I'm looking at?

Assuming that you are using a Mac, you can put the notion that your problem is caused by a virus out of your head. You give absolutely no information about your setup. The most likely cause of your problem is a set of improper settings. A poor choice of DNS server can kill performance. So, too, can a firewall. These are wild guesses, but without information wild guesses are the best you get.

IPv6 is on by default in MacOS X. I understand that some networks really don't like IPv6. You might try turning it off and see what happens.

Yes, IPv6 has caused me trouble in the past. It can be a router setup to accept IPv6, but not configured to do anything with it, then your connection defaults back to IPv4. Though most likely, its DNS configuration, or lack there of. :)
