Thanks for sharing the link.

I don't have a Tiger machine at the moment, so I am curious if it works without a hitch on Tiger as easily as it does on Leopard. Can anyone confirm?

Unfortunately "command not found" for Tiger.
I need to revert my Mac Mini G4 to Tiger so I can do some more testing.

The other suggested command is: sudo pip install speedtest-cli

To be more clear, Tiger users probably need to upgrade Python via this package (although I have seen that there are newer versions available via home-brew): https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-278/

The speedtest-cli script supposedly only works with Python 2.4+. See more here: https://github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli
