Hi people! I am at Uni and have just sorted out my internet connection (a cable connection, Ie not wireless)
I can't send emails I don't know what I am on about I will be honest but apparently it's to do with ports that the uni have blocked. Is there any way I can get around this? I also couldn't connect to msn before but someone told me to use port 80 connect through http or something. Even then it doesn't work properly.

Cheers! I am ripping my hair out so any help is REALLY appreciated!

Have you correctly set up the outgoing SMTP mail server in the account settings? If you're trying to send mail while connected via the Uni ISP, you may have to enter their SNMP server settings rather than the setting you use when connecting from home.
