Internet Usage Policy

    I bought a used laptop from a college student and I am getting following error while I am accessing site like youtube.com, forums etc...How do I remove this policy from my mac and get the site access

    your user profile and YPSD's Internet Usage Policy
    "

    ISP is fine. I can access all sites from other laptops or PCs

    You need to restore the laptop it has it's parental preferences set to harsh!

    Do a fresh install and re-create your user account and set your settings to Admin.

    hmm...I thought some settings changes will do instead going through complete reinstallation of OS...

    A fresh install on a used computer is always a good idea - no telling what lurks in the bowels of the machine.

    Why not just create a new Administrator user account and delete the old one?

    Why wouldn't you want to do a clean install on a used computer? Makes no sense at all.

    Maybe he's hoping to find something naughty hidden on the drive.

    Usually because some seller loaded it with expensive but unlicensed software and doesn't have the install media.
