Hello, This year I will be going into my sophmore year or college and I was trying to plan out or at least get some ideas started for next summer. I want to get an internship and I've been looking into a couple of places. Apple has an internship program: http://www.apple.com/jobs/intern/ Anyone ever done it? I don't have a major yet and my interests are pretty varied so I don't really know what kind of internship I should really be looking for. I'm into music, art, computers, maybe business, but I don't really know. So I'm just asking for suggestions on what to do or maybe some helpful advice from someone thats been in the same situation.

Thanks,
Clayton

Your internship should always be a pathway to a professional contact when you graduate. I am going to be a senior in Spetmeber and i have contacts in 3 school systems (IT departments), 1 Publishing company, and now at Apple. I am a communication major. While only one of my Jobs really related directly (none in TV or webdesign) they all used one or more of the things i have learned in class.

Basically no matter what you do with Apple (or any company) make sure you will learn from it.

I am in the exact same boat as you are buddy. My ultimate goal in life is to be a part of Apple, no matter what field of Apple, but internships are a major key into networking to make that goal a reality.

a fellow i know was an intern at apple. he got in because he knew someone that already worked there. but the good news is that now he is a regular employee there. so best of luck to ya. :)

You really got to know what part of apple you want to work for. There is a big difference between retail and Apple Computers. Choose Wisely
