Standometer (pronounced similar to “pedometer”) is a simple app that tracks the duration of time you spend standing each day. You probably already know that moving and hitting your step goal is important for your health, but just as important is how much time you spend standing.
Researchers say that sitting will be generations smoking, so I made Standometer. I have only been using Standometer for a brief period, but I have already found it more helpful than Step It Up and my move ring. A major issue I have and probably most of you is sitting too much, wether it is at your desk, commuting, or watch TV. We sit a lot!
If you have used Step It Up on Apple Watch, you’ll feel right at home. You open the app and there is a circle that fills up throughout the day as you move towards your goal. You can tap the forwards and backwards arrows at the bottom of the screen to switch between days. Then force touch to quickly jump back to today.
For my fellow Apple nerds, Standometer is completely written in SwiftUI! Standometer is my first SwiftUI app on the App Store and I am beyond impressed with how easy it was to design and app with quality graphics that scales to all device sizes immediately. I was able to have a prototype of the app up and running in a day and the app submitted to Store in a week.

I have attached ten promo codes for you to possibly download a free copy. I believe with independent Watch apps, you should enter the promo code on your iPhone and then install the app via the App Store on your Watch, or it might download automatically.

Standometer is available today on the Apple Watch App Store for $0.99 (USD).

I don’t see any option to use promo code. 🤔

Oh, good idea :)
The standing hours is the only goal, you cannot do "just before midnight", if you missed the hourly requirements...
...successfully reached all daily goals for > 600 days now 🤣
+one paying customer here :)

Could we please have a stand goal for 12 hours per day?
...oh counting differently - oh my - here is reality

As Apple is counting 1 minute per hour, it would be useful to integrate that "hourly goal" I guess.

May I offer a German translation?

Can I bump my own post and ask those who have decided to buy ....

Can I ask how users decide what their personal target should be ?

what factors are you using....
”steps” is decided for you or is often given in the media...

Two questions:

1) Why are there no reviews, even though it says "5.0"? maybe it's a brand new app (?)

2) How can your watch tell if you're simply standing up (as opposed to going from a sitting position to a standing position)? I know the inner workings of Apple Watch do magical things, but I just wonder how much accuracy you'd get from just simply standing, like at your desk at work.

Thank you for this, I will probably try it out. I will also be trying out your Steps app. I am new to AW (and iPhone, as I've had a 6s but haven't really used it until getting the AW). I am having trouble finding a step app that I actually like. I also hope the standing app helps with the mysterious times that the goal doesn't count for an hour (I've found a few times in my first week, that if I didn't get the minute within the last 10 minutes, it skipped it all together). :/

@ValerieA: That standing thing is about "moving around" for about one minute per hour. I am myself sitting on a desk at work. It is kind of "change your behavior" I had to get used to as well. Just go around a bit once per hour to satisfy the app and do something for your health.
...Obviously it is not THAT much, we have to do to live a bit healthier :)
