Intuitive Text Responses

Didn't Apple say the watch would 'read' your incoming texts and create responses based on what's in them? So far, it seems to only give the pre-programed canned responses that you can set in the Watch App.

Am I not turning something on that I should?

Mine is definitely giving me a different list of options dependent on text received. I didn't do anything to make that happen...
