Ok... If you had an extra $5000 laying around, and I told you that you could only invest that money in one of Apple's partners (AT&T, PortalPlayer, etc.), who would it be?

I don't know very many of their partners, and I think about all of the success PortalPlayer has acheived because of its part in the iPod... It seems like any company connected to the new iPod/iTunes/iPhone phenomenon is likely to succeed.

Which comapany would YOU invest in?

Is there a modern equivelent of Next partnered with Apple? This might be worth looking into, specifically depending on what they do for apple.

You are very much overestimating the importance of Apple to most vendors. Yes, it is nice to have Apple as an additional customer, and it is even nicer if Apple sales grow so that customer buys even more, but it won't make anyone's share price explode.

And _current_ partners can lose their contracts. You want to buy shares of those companies that become partners next year :D
