So I went to view my mail, because it said I had a new email, and when I click it mail shows up overhead, but my inbox etc. doesn't appear. I quit mail, reopen it, still no actual window. Hm, I click window, minimize, and the window appears in my dock, but disappears when I click on it. Weird?

Are you running Leopard with Spaces turned on? If so it sounds like maybe it's not properly switching to that Space automatically.

Ah :) I actually had spaces disabled, but mail was in the second space, so for some reason it was in this second space that was turned off. I just removed it as being assigned to any space, and it came back instantly.

That needs to be fixed, me thinks?

Hmm, that's weird. Yeah, that'd need to be fixed then. At least it's an easy fix to work around.
