After upgrading to Snow Leopard, once in a while my menu bar doesn't show up after booting! See screenshot below. It's not a serious problem, since clicking once or twice suddenly brings it back to the visible world. But I'm very curious why this would happen.

I have been running a clean install of SL on my aluminum macbook. This never happened with Leopard. Any thoughts/similar experiences?

I've had that happen maybe 2 or 3 times as well. I don't think it happened after the latest software updates though when I rebooted. It may have actually only happened when doing a cold boot (from off rather than restart). It never bothered me enough to hunt down the potential issue though.

Same problem on Mountain Lion

I am having this exact problem on the latest version Mountain Lion.
