thanks for the pics, just ordered mine. i use a BSE skin on my iPod and it's terrific. i'm a little nervous about the feel of it, but more concerned about scratches.

I think it looks pretty good. Much better than scratches that is for sure.

The BSE / InvisibleShield will also add something else to the iPhone. Grip. I have had a Motorola Q for over a year and never even came close to dropping it. My iPhone was almost dropped twice in the first few hours.

also concerned that it doesnt cover all of the chrome, which is where I'm most concerned

Unfortunately, this is the best we have in a skin type case. This is more coverage than the invisible shield.

The alternative is a full blown case, which defeats the purpose of this thread.

I just got my crystal film set from power support and all I can say is that if you get nothing else for your iPhone, you should get the crystal film.

You really don't even know it's there and it feels very strong.

I would highly recommend it.

I have the PowerSupport Crystal Film (which comes in a set of two and can easily be removed) but I just ordered a BestSkinsEver, hey it was 9.99 incl. shipping. Not sure if it will affect my case at all - Griffin Elan Snap-In - or if it will have a different look and feel than the PowerSupport, but I figure if I don't like it I can remove it and throw the Crystal Film back on.

I'll probably buy it and put it on the back, but leave it off the screen. I'm not a huge fan of how the clickwheel works with my IS, it's slow and less responsive, I know they say it works fine but I'll sacrifice a couple scratches for a beautiful glass feel.

that's what I did. It's very hard to install on the back because of all the corners that wrap around. I've been a big fan of the IS for a long time, but to be honest, I wouldn't recommend it for the iphone.

Just installed the crystal film cover. All I really want on my phone. In about 6 months I'll probably take it off.

Am I the only one who likes a couple scratches on my gear? It gives it character. It also shows that you didn't just pull it out of your hip holster.

iHipster out.

Okay, so I ordered the BestSkinsEver kit and received it today. I think it looks good on the phone.

The #1 concern I had about using the iPhone was it slipping out of my hands, and now this product gives it some grab. The back of my iPhone now has a bit of a "wet look", with some shine on it. It actually makes it look new, though obviously the original finish is matte. The corners are slightly noticeable, but it looks a little "padded" now and I'm sure with some use in my pocket it will get blended in.

The application process was straightforward for me, though I really soaked the plastic in the water/soap solution and it took a while to begin to dry out and become attached to the sides.

I covered everything except for the glass screen, even the button. I can't decide whether to do the screen, since it's so smooth right now.

A few questions about the BSE:

Can anyone speak to whether the BSE film comes off easily (and whether it leaves any residue)?

How's the texture of the BSE film against the iPhone?

I currently have the Crystal film set on my screen and an inCase rubber case, but would love the BSE's added protection around the chrome bezel.

The Crystal film set is a nice hard plastic that feels very smooth and firm to the touch. By contrast, the images of the BSE on its product website make the film look a bit ripply or textured . . . .

One last question: Is the application of the BSE difficult? Similar to the Invisible Shield?

Thanks!

Yeah, it looks clear when looking at it but if you catch some light on the very side you can see a faint pebble texture on it. It's still brand new for me but I would describe it more grippy than smooth and hard. For the back I actually prefer the grip, but YMMV.

One thing I notice on day one is either my pocket has a lot of lint, or the edge of the skin is attracting a lot of fuzz. It's a tad annoying, but I expect that will decrease soon with some use.

I haven't removed it or haven't installed the IS, so no answers there...

Just installed my best skins ever. It is amazing. I have the back portion that covers the back and the side chrome bezel and the top/bottom strips that cover that portion of the bezel. The screen, OTH, is covered with the PowerSupport Crystal Protector. This is the best combo imo.

Here's a tip for you, be very patient with the corner flaps. I think I used too much water; it took me a good 20 minutes for the water to evaporate before it stuck. It was very frustrating but very much worth the effort in the end.

I just got my BSE today. Actually it came to my work on Saturday which is where I ship everything, which really surprised me since I ordered it Friday. BSE is out of Denver, go figure. So I will install mine tonight or tomorrow.

I think I will start with the back and top piece and probably the home button and go from there. I may too leave the Crystal Film on the front so as to not get that glassy pimpled textured look and feel on the screen, but definitely like the idea of more grip.

Did the shine to the back go away a little more after it dried for 24-48 hrs?

i bought the film that they have at the apple store. came with 2, put the other one on my girlfriends iphone - the work awesome. I forgot it was there. She paid for 300 dollars of mine so i figured i'd share the second film. well worth it.

skin with dock

Can the BSE skin cover be used with the iPhone's dock? Also, has anyone noticed any scratching due to dust being trapped? I know that was a problem with other cases (I think it was Speck).

Thanks

Can you get any of these sheilds (not cases) in a retail store that I can drive to and get today? Or do I have to order online?

I just got an invisble shield for my iPod vid, (a full body cover not just screen) and the wheel still works fine(for changing the volume and scrolling), but I don't know if that is that same as the touch screen,

How does the BSE cover the chrome? Are there separate pieces just for the chrome? Or is it attached to one big front or or back piece?

EDIT:

Actually it looks like Hotsauce covered this in an earlier post.

If I understand correctly, this is a 4 piece kit?
