I guess people with birthdays on Sept 11 feel pretty bad huh?

May be we should all learn to not overblow everything. Not discounting the horrible event, just stating our general tendency.

I am sure we can find every day of the calendar associated with some bad event happening in the past, that would make things quite hard.

Very true, but Apple still isn't likely to use that as the date to announce their new iPhone regardless. Talk about bad PR.

Nope, 10 AM West, 1 PM East :)

So most events are what...at least 2 hours? I would assume preorders would start between 3-4 eastern, possibly a little later or earlier depending on the length of the event, and of course bearing they do preorders same day.

Events are usually less than 2 hours. I've seen 1:23, 1:44, 1:30, etc. Hours:minutes.

BGR's Jonathan Geller reported on twitter that invites go out on Tuesday, so you can guarantee they'll be sent on Wednesday as that guy is useless. The amount of "exclusive" that guy gets wrong is obscene, I have no idea why he still takes himself seriously.

Ahh.....

I knew someone was going to pick me up on this :p

Lets put it down on his "Right list" versus his "Wrong list of:"

- iPad 3 to have quad-core CPU
- Apple to demo Apple TV OS at WWDC '12
- Apple to release a completely redesigned iPhone 5 exclusively on Sprint in 2011
- Apple to release teardrop iPhone in 2011
- Apple to release completely redesigned iPhone in 2012
The list goes on...

Hardly. The leaks we've seen don't constitute "Completely redesigned" in my opinion. iPhone 3G/S to iPhone 4 is a complete redesign.

Bigger screen...Check
New speaker grills...Check
New dock connector...Check
New aluminum two-tone back...Check
Headphone jack on bottom...Check
Thinner...Check

The iPhone 4/4S had all of this. iPhone 5 isn't a redesign.

Umm... refer to the post below. There isn't much more they could've "redesigned". It's just that in your opinion, it wasn't a complete redesign, because a redesign is different in everyones eyes, and theres nothing wrong with that.

Don't forget to add LTE to that list, new CPU/GPU, more RAM, etc. This is going to be an incredible iPhone.

I didn't doubt that the iPhone is going to be great, i'll be pre-ordering too, but the BGR "exclusive" refers specifically to a "completely resigned" case with an iPad style back, meaning completely aluminium and tapering at edges, ergo based on leaks = false.

Never stated you didn't think it was going to be great. ;) But if that's what he meant by complete redesign, then he was definitely incorrect, as you stated. By "complete redesign" I thought you meant that he was talking about the two-tone, taller and thinner design.
