My MacBook Pro is currently running Lion from a second partition (Snow Leopard being the original version in the main partition).

I find that while running Lion, I can invoke apps from the original Snow Leopard partition, although the first time I run them on Lion they behave as if it were the first time ever that I booted up these apps, which makes sense I guess because these apps store information and preferences in the home folder, which is unique for each of the two installation.

While this is great, since I don't need to install multiple copies of the same software, I just want to make sure there aren't any potential issues or caveats while doing this that I ought to be aware of(?)
