Yes. The new iO Play comes with a Bluetooth compatible insert with a connection which, with the supplied lead fits in to your ciggy lighter
Right. I have decided to buy an iO Play for my car. I have the iPhone 3G, and a Mini One. What exactly do I need to make this work? Where can I get it?

Hi to all, especially IO-Play,
I'm very interested in an IO-Play for my iPhone 3G, to fit in my Porsche Cayman. It's a 2006 model with the CDR24 stereo and BOSE audio, without satnav.
Can the IO-Play be fitted? Will it work as advertised?
I'd be very grateful for any help or advice,

Unfortunately it appears that IOPlay are not playing anymore, I have tried for the last couple of months to get some answers from their support line but not replies.
I want some answers regarding the stopping of streaming every now and again which lasts for 1 to 5 seconds at a time.

I have just received my iO play from http://www.blue-marvel.co.uk/acatalog/iO_Play_Carkit.html Blue Marvel at £74.75 this was a huge SAVING not to mention the other great accessories I picked up from them.

were you able to install it easily yourself?

also, anyone know if itd work in a US car (specifically, 2006 Saab 9-3) or is there something strange where it only installs into cars with the steering wheel on the right side
I Love My I/O Play Even More Now
I have had my I/O Play for a couple of years and since the v3 software upgrade it just got better.
Now you do not need the dongle - which means you can charge and listen.
Also it means my satnav on my 3gs (navigon) comes out of my car speakers.

Just had ioplay fitted in my car. Halfords selling for £150 with free fitting. My iPhone 3g running version 3.0.1 connects and streams perfectly and calls are handled brilliantly too. However with the iPhone connected without dongle you cannot skip tracks or pause/play music with the ioplay controls is this the same for anyone?
If you use the dongle can you still make/receive calls?
Most of my journeys are quite short. How long do u reckon the iPhone would last on a long journey?
Would you recommend using the dongle or the built in bluetooth for battery life as I find it a pain to keep turning the bluetooth on/off when i'm away from my car?

IO Play and iPod Touch
I have the IO Play installed + the dongle for my iPod touch. The only problem is that when connecting the charger to the dongle it does not charge the iPod. A message comes up saying that charging is not possible while the device (probably the dongle) is connected.
Does it not support the latest iPod Touch with ver 3.1.1? Anyone?

IO Play, Iphone 3g, Renault Traffic Van
Hi chaps, ive just installed the io play into my van, the iso connector plugged in no problems, all powered up.
I can stream music and make and receive calls, BUT, the sound volume is to low, i can just about hear it, just stationary, with engine running.
I have every thing turned up, has anybody got any ideas.
Pls help.........

I had an IO Play installed on my Honda Civic yesterday and I also can't have both my iPhone and the new charging dongle on at the same time. Either I'm hands free but have to change track or volume on the phone or I'm not handsfree but can use the IO Play buttons to change track and volume -

Both worked fine for 2 weeks and after that they work well for calls but for streaming don't waste your money.
I have installed the latest firmware update which took a few attempts. After the update there's no sound at all from the unit.
I have been liaising with the manufacturer who has been totally useless and unhelpful.
To get the unit returned to them I have to remove it return to the store who will return it to armour. The store will not be able to return it to armour for a week and a half and armour need 2 weeks. This will leave me without audio for the best part of a month which I cannot do. I've decided to remove and replace both units with parrots which I have always used with out problems.
I wouldn't recommend this rubbish as its totally unrealisable as is armour.
