What are you doing to your machine that you need it wrapped in carbon fiber? I'd imagine that any impact that would break one of the standard plastic shells but not a carbon fiber shell would still be enough to damage the internals even if the shell remains intact. I've never heard of or used one of these but I just can't see the added value over a Speck or Incase plastic shell.
EDIT: Read through the description further and saw that this is just imitation carbon fiber giving it zero advantage over one of the other shells that can be had for 1/3 of the price. If you just like the looks of it and can afford the high price tag then I don't see any reason not to buy one I suppose. Beyond that it's just not my style, I much prefer the simple look of my Speck.
