Well today I received my carbon fiber case for my MBP. I have to say I am impressed with it so far. I do not want to worry about scratched and this will protect it against that very well while looking good doing it. One side of the botton is a bit lose but may use double sided tape to help that side. Other than that great product.

100+ shipping but in my opinion worth it to protect a 1700 dollar computer.

Will take picks of the bottom part as well soon.

If the bottom is loose ask for a replacement (but first make sure it's not your computer that could be slightly warped). There is no reason why you should use tape to hold together a $100+ product that is supposedly engineered to fit perfectly with your laptop.
 
I doubt it is my laptop but I know plastic can expand and contract with head and with it coming from Hong Kong might of did some of that. I will email them but it is not much movement at all.
 
Hmm, I dont like it.
I wouldn't like anything which would stop me stroking my MBPs lovely aluminium.
And it looks to me like plastic which has been made to look like carbon fibre, and I wonder if it has an effect on heat dissipation.

Temps stay within 2-4 degres of factory with the case. I love the aluminum but I can touch the aluminum when I open it. Also a lot more surface bite from the bottom so it does not go sliding everywhere.

Are the inside panels of the case lined with any sort of cloth to protect the laptop from being scratched by the case?

Is it real carbon fiber or just simulated? I've seen a lot of cases that are just carbon fiber on the outside.
 
It clips on but the clips are covered with leather so they will not do damage. Within 30 seconds the entire case can be removed and put back on.

I do not think it is real carbon fiber but looks darn close if it is not. The inside has a few pads layered out to protect the inside.

Update everything seems to be holding up great. I am happy with the case and even the mac fanatics at my college like it. Reminds half of them of iron man with the apple logo shining threw the hole on the back.:cool::apple:
