You might want to add that for now only developers should be trying this out. :D

We should stay away. I would hate to try and end up having to restore because I messed something up. I'm fine waiting until it packaged for consumer use.

Weird, wouldn't developer phones get borked and have to upgrade too?

And Apple just stopped signing 10.1.1 on December 20th, just 1-2 days ago. This sucks :(

Looks like my iPhone will be staying jailbroken on 9.0.2 if semi-untethered is the only option here.

I've made the comment in the past that I wanted to upgrade to iOS 10 when it was jailbroken because I saw iOS 10 as better than iOS 9. But that comment was based on the assumption that I'd get a fully untethered jailbreak.

I'm not leaving a fully untethered jailbreak for one that isn't.

how often do you restart that running the jailbreak app is such an inconvenience?

I never had 1 single issue with the previous semi tethered jb. I'm looking forward to this one getting sorted and substrate being updated

There was a fix for that on the previous jailbreak.

Anyone interested in this JB and is at 10.1.1 should stay there and just sit back for a little while as bugs being worked out and better and more reliable versions will be released.
Not much you can do with it still even if you did JB right now so let Cydia, mobile substrate and things to get updated and ironed out.
Just in case you mess up and stuck having to go up to 10.2

It's not the reboot thing. It's a scheduled Activator action. It's done on purpose.

The problem is, I think even Saurik has said back when 9.3.3 JB was released that due to the safety protocols that Apple has put into place, semi-untethered is what we're likely stuck with going forward. We may be reaching a point where you have to decide if it's worth dealing with.

(I've been stuck stock for long enough now that I've mostly kinda sorta learned to tolerate it, and opted for 10.2 knowing I was shutting myself out of a JB. But now that CallKit is in iOS 10.x.x and I didn't need iBlacklist, I was down to Folder Enhancer as my primary tweak and a bunch of tiny, non critical stuff--not enough for me to live with the nuisance of going semi-untethered.)

Think I'll stay just where I am right now. My 6+ is merrily chugging away for videos and music while my 9900 is my daily driver.

Can this new JB actually use and apply the tweaks and themes from Cydia like Pixel Launcher ?
