And I was expecting that apple would drop 10.3 beta.. Silly me

I'm all for Apple slowing down a bit and concentrating on bugfixes for 10.2 for a while.

They've been full steam ahead on tweaking things here and there and haven't been in bugfix mode enough, IMHO.

That said I'm not going to bother with this beta. 10.2 is rock solid so far and there's nothing I really feel I want improved.

Why is it 1.92GB for a .1 update?

As an early beta, it probably includes instrumented components so Apple can easier diagnose issues with the changes being made – it's (likely) the same reason why a final (or close-to-final) developer release is similarly large, as you're going from an instrumented build to a non-instrumented build.

No. It's because it's the full installer. Not a delta.

There is unlikely going to be another major feature beta, ie. 10.3, until the new ipads are closer to dropping in March which is very soon. 10.2 added a ton of new stuff like the TV app they discussed at the announcement etc.

I would expect 10.3 late January into early Feb to be ready for ipad launch.

Multitasking still incredibly jumpy. Works fine from the home screen and certain apps, but Messages and Mail not so much.

Literally...what a difference, especially in multitasking
No idea how this is possible, but multitasking is a royal mess on iPhone 7 Plus.

Hmmmm....... don't see it in the software update, still on 14C92

Sprint Carrier Version is also 27.1

FYI - This was released with 10.2 public release on Monday. Those of us who were already on 10.2b7 (and therefore already on the release version, so no software update) got the carrier update to 27.1 on Monday (if you went into settings / general / about) .. Then the carrier update shoild have popped up. At least it did for me and a few others I saw commenting.

Interesting. I wasn't prompted for the update until today when I updated for 10.2b7 to 10.2.1b1

Yeah, it typically won't prompt you unless you go into settings / general / about (or maybe reboot?). Otherwise, they're typically bundled into iOS releases, so you often don't see them as they're done automatically. Except for us on the beta trains in situations like these or for the rare occasion that a carrier rolls out an update aside from an iOS update. I think I may have seen that once ever.

I am not seeing the update come in. I am on the beta and not developer profile. Right now running the release version os 10.2 (Which was also 10.2 beta 7). Is something wrong here?

The PB hasn't been released yet.

You are on the beta and do not have developer profile?

No profile = no 10.2.1

Raise to wake seems a lot better. Wakes up smoother or something, quite can't put my finger on it. Overall it seems smoother than 10.2
