It's not very likely that bugs like that would be addressed in late betas where it's typically just really isolated critical/important fixes that are going in to keep things as stable as possible for the release.

Is this new or not? I'm just wondering. I believe that Home Sharing came from Videos.app.

Missing widgets in Notification Center is fixed.

But TV app is super buggy as always. Downloaded videos simply refuse to play for me and some are stuck in eternal progress icon screen.

Yeah you are correct. Seems that Apple stops including large scale changes after about beta 3 in a typical cycle. This one is just particularly annoying since it was actually introduced in 10.2 and the music app is such a widely used part of the OS. Oh well, just add it to the long list of ways that the QC in Apple's software has deteriorated under Cook.

Please excuse my ignorance, how does a newer kernel affect the OS? Thanks in advance!

You'll not notice kernel updates in most cases. It's very low level code.

Kernel bugs usually result in data loss, crashes, and other Very Bad Things. So it's really good to see kernel bugs fixed, but as a user you generally won't notice any difference.

Probably this is why a new beta dropped.

TV App

• TheTVappshouldnolongercrashorshow“TVisunavailable”oniPodtouch.
• SyncingwithiTunes12.5through12.5.3shouldnolongerdeleteTVapplibrarycontent.

Through beta 4, my iPhone 7 was still occasionally failing to give me Reminders alerts. Anyone else have this problem and notice if it's been fixed in beta 5?

This is a core function of iOS and seems like a significant bug to me. Unless I'm the only one experiencing it?
