iOS 10.3.2 Beta 1: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements etc.

iOS 4.3 orphaned the original iPod Touch and iPhone 3G, both of which ran iOS 4.2.

I think that's the only time they did this. I suspect both of these dropped devices were due to lack of RAM.

Maybe 32bit devices were discontinued starting with the APFS update and APFS was their last hurrah.Legacy code being dropped implies a lean OS for the other devices though

yeah but not as a beta with loads why not if there are bugs fix them all with ota update why do developers need to test bugs for months its silly, at least apple should say what they have fixed

The idea is to test your software on the new OS version so that when it is released, you know that it will work and that nothing has broken (or that if something breaks, you have the ability to fix it). By allowing developers to test betas (semi-stable mostly feature complete versions of the OS) it gives them the most amount of time to resolve issues with their own software, and it has the added benefit of allowing Apple to take reports of issues with iOS.

Yes, Apple could do all of their testing in-house, but it would lead to buggier iOS releases, and it would lead to buggier third party app releases. If you'd rather just get one update full of bug fixes every once in a while, you're in the wrong thread buddy.

Well, while the possibility is there, it seems like if 10.3 is supported then 10.3.x which is generally just bug fixes would/should still be supported and at best it would be something like 10.4 where support might be dropped, for example.

no it's not at all - One of these weeks I should really learn the fact that so many people here do not understand the point of Beta testing.

dan9700 - how about just getting off of the Beta program if you're sick of them? It will save you many headaches. This way you can devote more effort to measuring the milliseconds of lag you seem to be experiencing with iOS system.

One change I noticed, going from iOS 10.3 to iOS 10.3.2 on my iPhone 7 Plus downgraded the modem firmware from 1.03.21 to 1.03.20. Screenshots attached for proof.

Got it. But I'm fairly confident that was due to hardware restrictions because of all the features of 4.3. This would be different as 10.3.2 doesn't have new features that 32bit can't support. So I don't think the two can be compared.

Gosh, isn't beta testing solely so we can get all the fun stuff ahead of the unwashed masses?

I can't agree more: if you complain about how many betas there are or that betas make your device operate improperly, you have no business being in this program. PERIOD!

yes there is always a problem with lag so no its not a mill second lol and I'm not the only one that thinks it, so stop hating and have a good day

I'm not the one on here whining in a Beta thread about the number of releases...which only serve to make it BETTER.

I have zero lag. I'm sorry you're having so many difficulties w/ your phone, but it's not universal. Have a wonderful and lovely day

I have zero issues to report thus far on the beta. Very impressed with 10.3 and sooooo happy to see Apple releasing many betas with very few new features. Maybe Apple is being reined in a bit after they got a little wild with adding so many features that maybe weren't 100% ready.

Wifi capability has defecated the bed on my SE. Keeps coming and going. VPN option toggling itself off and on in settings. Other than that though...

More likely because WWDC and iOS11 beta 1 are all of 10-11 weeks away so adding new features to iOS10 right now beyond bug fixes is pretty much a waste.

I guess I should say that I'm happy to see the stability. Praying that iOS 11 is on par in that regard.

Are you currently in 10.3.2 and going back to 10.3? I had a strange hiccup with wifi when I was on 10.3 public release but all was fixed when I reconnected to my network. Interesting that our modem firmware went back to a prior version in 10.3.2.
