Anyone having issue with the stock calendar widget not showing all day events on the lock screen. Example-New payperiod event is set for all day in an exchange calendar. My lock screen does not show anything for today. My up next shows an event 4 days from now.

If I changed my all day event to a time event, then it will show up on the widget.

Just curious if anyone else was having the same problem.

iPhone 6 Plus
iOS 10

Yes, and I deleted the stock Apple calendar widget and downloaded the free app Agenda which is highly configurable and handles widgets flawlessly. Suggest you try it.

I am having problems with it not showing what's next at all on the iPad. It shows the all day event at the top but that's it. Anyone having success on the iPad?

If you change the calendar view to list, the all day events will appear...

Yes I have the same issue - iPhone 6 / iOS10.

The 'Up Next' widget doesn't appear to show all-day events from Calendar.

The list view worked for me too. Now an all day event shows up on the calendar widget. I'm not fond of the list view but guess it is a workaround for now. I submitted a feedback to Apple about this. I'm sure it won't do any good but there's always hope.

As recommended by myself and another poster in this thread, download the free Agenda+ app which gives you both all-day appointments and standard appointments and seamlessly sync's with your stock Apple calendar and you won't give this issue a second thought. The problem is already solved, just download Agenda+

Just want to check. Is this the correct app?

That's an older different one, you want Agenda: Widget+
[doublepost=1474383184][/doublepost]
That or use a third party widget. I love EventsWidget which I connected to WeekCalendar app, but that widget isn't updated yet to iOS10. Another one which has been updated for iOS10 is Agenda: Widget+. Both show all day events in any view.
I was quite happy to find the new/updated Agenda: Widget+ given that it fits in with iOS 10 quite well and is quite close to the native Calendar design. And all the customizable options are very useful as well.

But I realized there's a downside (at least to me) when it comes to quickly looking over my schedule using it--aside from only seeing a couple of events by default and needing to take action to expand the widget to see more, where that gets in the way more is when full day events are involved as those will the the first ones shown all day long and if there's a couple or more of them then basically you never see any timed meetings or events that day in the default view of the widget and would constantly need to expand it to see what's coming up.

So I'm back to the trusty EventsWidget that shows me everything at once (also for multiple days if I want) without the need to expand or anything like that.

Just found this thread as I was having the same issue - the only all day events that show up in my calendar widget are birthdays. Really annoying...I'll be sending feedback on this as well.

Does the Agenda: widget allow you to have a month view with the appt text inside of the calendar itself. Versus having a month view with just numbers, and having a list below which corresponds to which day/number you have highlighted. I prefer the former because I like to see everything in one shot. The only widget I found so far that does this is widgetcal, but while the widget is awesome the calendar app it opens into is horrendous.

Don't think many if not most offer something like that. Some have that for weekly view (like the one mentioned at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/eventail-the-compact-calendar-widget.1949133/).

No you can't do that with Agenda: widget+ it either shows a list of month but then in the month view you only see dots not even appointments below the month view and not in the month view.

There are other widget out there which have the option you are looking for I think but I'm not sure if they are updated to iOS10. You have to check the App Store description for that/check last updated or contact the developers. See also the old iOS8/9 widget topic and if you search for 'Calendars' you get a pretty long list of widgets/apps with a calendar widget. Not all have a month view + description in the month view though. Maybe send a review to the developers of Fantastical, Pocket Informant or miCal to implement this.

It looks like these have it but I'm not sure if they offer iOS10 support for the widget:
Pocket Informant calendar (iOS10 ready) - month view + below appointments for a certain day
Fantastical 2 for iPhone (iOS10 ready) - month view + below appointments for a certain day
miCal (not yet updated for iOS10 though, old UI)
Eventail (not yet updated for iOS10 though, old UI)
Widget Calendar (not yet updated for iOS10 though, old UI)
Study Cal (not yet updated for iOS10 though, old UI)
Calendarique (not yet updated for iOS10 though, old UI)
Agenda+ (not yet updated for iOS10 though, old UI)

I have found widget calendar to be the best. It's like a mini version of the iOS calendar. It also shows all day events. You can add a reminders widget too. I am just eagerly awaiting an iOS 10 version.

Thank you. I've found widgetcal to have the functionality I need, full month view with appointments inside the month view itself. I initially thought it had a terrible calendar app, but then figured out that it's tied to Awesome Calendar, which is pretty decent. I don't use my calendar on my phone very often, 99% of the time I'll use Calendar on my surface pro or desktop and I really just need that quick glance on my phone.

This all-day event glitch is something that has followed over from ios 9.

I can see an all day event on Calendar widget but now on Up Next.

Is it possible to have widgets to show on the lock screen without having to pull.down? Also, is it possible to have widgets show first over notifications?

You can swipe to the right on the lock screen and get the widgets (like you can do on the home screen when unlocked).

Thanks mate. I know about this but was wondering if by default you can open on widgets rather than notifications.

Hi guys, just a thought - is there an option where more than one event is shown on the calendar widget rather than 'today's event' only?

So more than one event or more than events from just today?

I'm also looking for an option like this. Either in the stock calendar app or a new widget.
I'd like to see a few upcoming all-day events in my widget. Not just an event that is occurring that day.
