So a friend gave me his new phone number and I went to put it into my contacts and erase his old number and it kept resetting and going back to the old number? I can't get it to add a number to the contact or delete the old number? Anyone else having this issue?

how are you putting in contacts? How are his contacts there? I don't add a single contact to "my phone" they are all in my email. Maybe his contacts are syncing on his email account?

Well I went in just now to try it and it worked. That is so weird. It wouldn't do it at all yesterday.

I'd take a step back if I were you and only save contacts to your email. Local contacts is a horrible way to do contacts these days.

Is op not using iCloud to sync? If he is, why use email.

That limits you to apple only, not to mention do you keep separate contacts in your email and on your phone? You can consolidate your contacts in your email and have 1 set of contacts and no matter what device you log onto you always have access to your contacts.

I see what you are saying. All my devices are from apple though so Ive never had that issue.
