iOS 10 mail notifications not clearing

i am finding that notifications from mail cannot be cleared until the message has actually been read. Really annoying. If I press clear or clear all they come back. Anyone know how to fix this?

Same here. So annoying. This OS is full of bugs

Must be a random thing. I'm not experiencing this at all. Got tons of email this morning and the notifications all cleared after reading.

Try clearing without reading it. That's when it happens.
