A fart message app is needed.
iMessages bypasses all the old carrier stuff. That's why carriers are happy to give away unlimited SMS because nobody uses them anymore.
Sweet! These are great.A couple of more iOS 10 Message apps that might be fun to use:
- Polls with Friends. Create and share polls with your friends right in the Messages app.
- Quiz your Friends. Create and share quizzes in the Messages app.
And here, iMessage stopped being the serious, sane messaging service.
I really like Do With Me, which the wife and I are already utilizing fully. Shared to do/shopping lists makes perfect sense within messages and it is both seamless and attractive. Well done!
ETA sounds useful but why didn't Apple include this as part of iOS?
And why is the message text field so small?
WTF are all those horrid tweener effects doing on there? Am I too old for an iPhone?
Message text field looks small (to accommodate non-text options. However once you tap on it, it expands to a regular size.
Their mere presence bothers me. It's a reminder that instead of a full-featured Photos app for OS X or regular Mac hardware updates Apple instead squander their resources on infantile nonsense.Tweener effects - those are for the tweeners. You don't have to hand back your iPhone if you don't use them enough.
Traffic Time is another good one to quickly send your ETA from the Messages app.

but surely 50 cents or 50p UK to send a gif - unless you have a MMS bundle?
1. Turn off "MMS Messages" in iPhone settings "Messages".
2. Look at the contact wich you want to send a message: blue=iMessage, green=SMS/MMS.
3. Problem solved.
That was the easy part. I literally just sent her a message with some items, and some time later she sent me an updated list. First time either part had used an iMessage app. Didn't even prepare her. So seamless.Like the look of that. My wife and I often split the shopping and it would be good to have a simple way to do that - I like this, just need to get the wife on board with it.
Really?! I've never been charged for things like that. iMessage just uses data all the way. I keep sending images and videos and sound clips via iMessage to my friends. Never ever have I been charged on any network I've used so far. Admittedly never EE.Hi
But not everyone has an iPhone. Also I have been charged on EE UK for sending a MMS from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 6S - strange but true.
We have it (the MMS) switch off now and e-mail photos and video - most of the folks I know have iPhones work and friend.
