Using ios 10.0.2 on an iPhone SE..I'm experiencing the following bugs - Am I the only one or anyone else with similar problems?

The main bugs I am experiencing are:

    1) Occasional freezing while on the phone app

    2) occasional freezing while on the messages app

    3) a problem in almost every second or third call where there is no sound in my headphones/phone earpiece and the other party cannot hear me as well - the only fix is to toggle speaker phone on and off and then it works

Do I wait for an upgrade 10.0.3 and hope it gets sorted or do I downgrade to iOS 9?

    Any suggestions?

If you plan on downgrading, you'd better get on it because general opinion is that the window will close soon.

You can downgrade to iOS 9, wait out the iOS 10 bugs and then upgrade when things are more settled. At least that gives you a choice without suffering.

I'm waiting for the dust to settle before upgrading iPhone 6, 6S Plus and two iPads. Besides, I like iOS 9.3.5, both functionally and visually.

I concur on downloading to 9.3 as the window will close this week. I personally believe the 6s and SE (of which I both own) were made to work best on the iOS they were created for... iOS 9.

I personally won't upgrade to 10 until all the bugs are worked out and they reduce the large font in the music app and fix the artwork instead of blank microphone pics. I maybe waiting a while but I don't mind because 9.3.5 works flawlessly for me.

I have the 6s, basically the same as a SE and I am running 10.0.1 with no issues. It seems hit or miss with problems. But I would downgrade and watch the forums for any updates.

Thanks to all for the advice.

Anyone else with any of the same issues?

Had the phone app freezing issue on my se and 6s. Recently updated my se to public beta 10.1 and it has stopped. Sounds like a bug.

did the same as you...registered for the Public BETA and upgraded to 10.1 BETA 1 and seems so far that all 3 of the major problems I mentioned above have been resolved....will update a day or 2 later with a more definitive result.

there is another bug which is still there > if I swipe left for the camera it shows a blank screen (no camera pic) - need t press the home button and swipe again for it to work....anyway now that I'm on the public BETA, I have reported it using the Feedback app

This should be the golden rule for Apple products across the board.

It might be exciting to upgrade to new software, but always consider the hardware you're running it on. An upgrade might work fine, but it will likely never be as good as the software the device was created under. I have an iPhone 6 on 9.0.1, a somewhat laggy and regrettable upgrade past 8.4.1 which I should have stayed on. Most reports tell me iOS 10 would not do my 6 any better (and I don't care for some of the changes, anyway).

Many seem to be finding iOS 10 to be slightly better or no worse than iOS 9 for them, as far as performance/stability go (in particular early versions of iOS 9).

Same with my 6s plus no problems.

My se hasn't froze once since the update. How much memory do you have left?

Why 9.0.1? Apple improves the stability and performance over the course of the year the update is out. You're comparing a polished final release with an early version. Also the 6s can actually be faster on iOS 10 so that "rule" isn't always the case.

9.2/9.3 were way laggier on a 6 in my experience. iOS 9 in general is pretty crappy compared to 8.4.1 or iOS 7-earlier. I'm on a 6, so I don't care if a 6S is faster on 10.

I have a 6s plus still on iOS 9.0.2 what should I do? I bought an Apple Watch 1st gen but it won't let me use unless I update. Is there a way to update to 9.3.5 and use the watch. Ugh confused. :(

You can update to 9.3.5 but why would you do that to use the watch? What about iOS 10? What version of watchOS is on it?

I don't know it won't get past the I need to update screen. Some people said they were downgrading from 10 that's why I asked about iOS 9.3.5

Will the 9.3.5 work with first gen watch or should I go ahead and update to 10? I really wanted to stay on 9.02 in case I wanted to JB but I can't pair watch on this software.

It depends if it's on watchOS 3, if it is, it'll only work with iOS 10.
