So, I've just spent the past half hour searching both the forums and Google for an answer to my problem, but to no avail...

I'm not sure what happened, or how, but somehow my notifications went from being useful to... not so much. Instead of having a preview of the notification, it now only says "Press for more" when on the lock screen, and doesn't say anything at all on the home screen. I've checked my notification preferences (as shown below), and nothing seems to be any different than it was before.

I have a feeling I'm missing something totally basic, I just can't for the life of me figure it out. Anyone?

Is it like that for all apps/notifications? What iOS version and device?

Good morning, ancient thread! ;)

I have had this same issue since iOS 10 came out. Yesterday I decided to give the 10.3 beta a shot (beta 6 should be stable, right?), and this bug is fixed! "Press for more" has been replaced by the information that was always there in previous versions of iOS.
