iOS 10 voicemail transcripts

has anyone managed to work out how to enable the new voicemail transcripts?

So far I have been unable to find a way so thinking it has not yet been enabled.

It is something that will need to be enabled by the carriers.

Seriously? I thought it would be a case of disabling the carrier voicemail and let Siri/iOS do its thing through settings.

My carrier never chose to take visual voicemail so if left to them I don't hold out much hope.
