iOS 11.2

Release Date — December 2 2017
Build Number — 15C114
Darwin Kernel Version — 17.3.0: Mon Nov 6 21:19:16 PST 2017

New Features & Changes
  • Shutdown animation on iPhone X
New Issues
  • iPhone X resprings when fast-app-switched to a mobile-web-app-capable website.
  • 3D Touch multitasking works with one pressure level. If you apply pressure at bottom left of screen, it Directly brings up multitasking. Previously I remember applying slight pressure and increasing pressure to bring up multitasking.
  • Breaks camera focusing for some users
    • multiple users say "reset all settings" fixes this for them
    • multiple users say removing their case which has magnets fixes it for them
    • multiple users say neither of the above fixes it for them
Remaining Issues
  • Mail app - checking for mail/Updated just now not centered in bottom status bar (Cosmetic GUI bug)
  • Mail app - Filter options not properly aligned (Cosmetic GUI bug)
  • Third party widgets not updating properly (may require app developer to fix)
  • Weather widget not updating properly (not all users affected)
  • Mail app- scheduled fetch and notifications not working for favorited folders. Feature deactivated since 11.x.
  • Burst photos are still save as jpeg instead of .heic when High Effciency is selected in the settings. Same behavior as ios 11.0
Resolved Issues
  • iPad Zoom leaving partial screen unzoomed FIXED

Have apple intended to increase battery life in this new iOS ? Because it seems identical to 11.1.2

Also, what are you guys thoughts on the new iOS

So far, only thing I noticed was the bar under the battery, showing where control center is and Apple Pay cash still doesn't work. I can't see the icon in iMessages and not cash card in Wallet.

I'm using the SE and see no bar. And can't notice any difference between this ios and the last one ( 11.1.2 )

I think its only for X since we get the notch. Other than that I see no difference. A few emojis have been upgraded.

I'm getting haptic feedback every time to go home. All haptic feedback on the phone is disabled. I had to turn off the vibration system wide to get rid of it.

Apple is still insisting on changing our settings after each upgrade, which means going through them all again each time. The most obvious ones for me are the enabling of Wifi and Game Center in iCloud. Would be nice if they could give up on this underhand disregard of user choice.

Posting my battery life on iPhone 7 here. It's good abd better than beta 5 tentatively. Tentatively because it's 40 percent remaining still, but it's night time and I want to charge it.

I might just keep it for fun and report tomorrow as well.

It looks like the problem with the widget sizing is solved :)
(widget would always appear in small size even if you set it to show more)
