New Features & Changes
- The default video capture format for ARKit in iOS 11.3 is 1080p. The default in earlier versions is unchanged.
- Added "Improve Health Records" in Analytics
- Removed AirPlay 2
- When pressing volume up or down and side/power button to turn off device, hit "Cancel" will bring up passcode screen for quicker access to home screen than swiping up for passcode
- After updating a device to iOS 11.3 beta 3 the host computer may not recognize the device.
- App opening splash screen becomes black if you close an app, then immediately after opening the same app
- Lock screen wallpaper becomes black if accessing to the camera by swiping to the left gesture is interrupted
- In beta 1, Health Record accounts and data are not synced to Health in iCloud. This results in data from the device not syncing to other devices
- The shared web credentials API always returns the error “Autofill disabled”
- Facial landmarks identified by the Vision framework may flicker in temporal use cases such as video
- Scheduled fetch and notifications not working for favorited mail folders on non-push mail accounts in native mail app
- Widgets jump up then goes back to normal position after device restart (Since iOS 11.0)
- Widgets and search bar overlap during call (Since iOS 11.0)
- Emoji keyboard has duplicate emojis in Frequently Used tab after resetting the keyboard settings (Since iOS 11.0)
- When unlocking the device causes keyboard to disappear for a moment if keyboard is left open before locking the device (Since iOS 11.0)
- Keyboard keys become blue when text is pasted in the text field of WhatsApp, especially for URLs (Since iOS 11.0)
- Attention aware for calls is still not working
- When using the keyboard as (two-finger) trackpad in Spotlight Search on iPad landscape mode, x,y axes movement are still incorrectly swapped (Since iOS 10.0)
- Wallet & Apple Pay still missing from iPad Pro 10.5
- iOS 11.3 beta 3 now supports iPod touch (6th generation)
- Skype no longer crashes on launch or after sign-in
- Smart Punctuation is again available in Messages
- ARKit - Continuing from a breakpoint while debugging an ARSession no longer results in VIO breaking. Visual objects placed in the world/anchor are now visible.
- Managed books now open reliably in Books
- Maps no longer crashes when tapping the "Destinations" UI while connected to CarPlay.
- Messages threads should no longer have a delay when opened
- Using Music with VoiceOver or Switch Control should now work as expected
- WebApps saved to the home screen and webpages in Safari can now use the camera to capture images
- Background tasks now correctly authenticate in an app that uses Kerberos for single sign-on
- If you experienced any issues on iOS 11.3 beta 2 or earlier of Wi-Fi not connecting automatically, dropping off, or disconnecting unexpectedly, please go to Settings -> WiFi, tap the Information button (i) next to the network name, and verify that the Auto-Join switch is on
- Fixes the text for message alert when deleting a conversation
- Fixes music no longer pause when switching between apps
- In App Purchases are again able to be made.
- Unlocking animation glitch has been fixed. It is also confirmed as bug report regarding the issue is now closed.
