iOS 11.3 -- Is it worth it yet?

I'm still on 10.3.3 on my iPhone 7 Plus. Do you think iOS 11.3 is finally up to par with 10.3.3? Since I haven't used iOS 11 on my iPhone 7 Plus yet, I don't really know what the issues and glitches are and if everything's been fixed and sorted out yet.

Is it still laggy compared to iOS 10.3?
Are there still weird glitches?

For me, 10.3.3 is almost completely bug free (besides a few visual oddities).

Wait until iOS 11.3 is out of beta, then re-ask the question.

I guess I'll stay on 10.3.3 forever on my 7P. Best for performance / battery so far. My heart wants to update but my head says no
 
Today I've updated from iOS 10 to iOS 11.3 on my iPhone 7 and now multiple apps including Instagram and Spotify are constantly crashing when opened. I am not sure if it's compatibility issue or what anyone else been encountering the same after the update?

Update: Upon uninstalling and reinstalling the apps they have been working smooth again! :)

Update your apps. If it doesn’t work delete and re add them. That will reset any cached data that might be causing the issues you’re encountering.

I am exactly in the same camp. I am just worried that eventually some apps will stop working forcing me to update :(
 
Last Tuesday my iPhone 7 Plus was replaced by Apple with a new one running iOS 10.3.3

Then i realised how bad iOS 11 was. I won't make the mistake of upgrading to iOS 11 twice. As of 11.2.6 it still was buggy mess.

Weird. I held out a long time with 10.3.3 on my 7 and upgraded in January and I haven’t had any problems except for 1 lone respring. Everything has been solid. There is a very slight hit to performance but hardly noticeable. My 7 behaves and performs almost identically to my wife’s 8 plus on the current iOS 11.2.6. Id go as far to say that when my 7 was on 10.3.3 there were sometimes it felt faster than my wife’s 8 plus. But all in all it feels very similar to 10.3.3. Battery life has been exactly the same as well. The thing I do regret updating is my series 2. That has taken a noticeable hit to performance compared to 3.2.3 but it still works ok and battery is once again the exact same as before. Your mileage may vary.
 
Not yet... Let it cook with weekly updates for a few more weeks. There are still too many -isms with it...

I bet as time goes on, people simply get used to iOS 11 and onward. As iOS 11 gets a little better over time, you're only comparing iOS 11 to slightly newer iOS 11, so it may seem like it's comparable. However, once you use iOS 10.3.3 again, you'll realize you've simply gotten used to iOS 11 and it's nothing like 10.3.3 was. You know?
 
iOS 11.3 is still in beta. It does give you the option to turn off Performance Management, the setting that prevents "unexpected shutdowns"
 
I have updated all my apps and now, I am getting crash only on my iOS 11. Why the problem is happening? I don't have such problems before.
 
11.2.6 has been pretty damn solid. I haven't had any performance issues or glitches at all on my iPhone 7 Plus.

The only folks I recommend stay on iOS 10 anymore are iPhone 5s and 6 users. 6s and newer run iOS 11 great.

Just keep in mind that you can't go back, so it's not an easy decision to make.

I still can't get myself over updating my 7+ since it is a 'one-way-street' :-/

Having said that IOS 10 has its glitches too....

But from your personal experience, does IOS 11 feel slower than IOS 10 on your 7+ ?

It's hard to directly compare because 11.0 DID feel slower then 10, but after some time they got it back up to acceptable performance.

I'm not sure if it's slower because it's a long time since I've run iOS 10. But my phone feels acceptably fast right now with 11.2.6.

I've read many opinions and the most are related to the battery. So far in ios 11:
The battery is draining faster
The performace is "meh" compared to ios 10...Not big deal
The icon animations are slighty faster in ios 11.
Wifi and Bluetooth can't be turned off in control center.

Beside security ( which i've never encounterd a security problem with older versions of iOS), can someone tell me a big advantage of ios 11. So far I see as a big NO. Why would I trade battery and performance for some fancy blur effect and a fugly appstore.

iOS 11 has a screen recorder. Some like that, especially the gamers.
 
I can understand someone on an older iPhone wondering if its a good thing to update or not, but seriously, there is no reason to not update if you are on an 7+. Its still a relatively new phone and just for security patches and some great improvements over iOS 10 makes a no brainer decision for users with iPhone 6s or newer.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT update your devices from 10.ANYTHING! Unless you absolutely need to for some reason. It is worse. I mean, it’s the least worse on this latest beta, but it’s still a downgrade from iOS 10.

Iphone 6s here on ios 11.2.6

Best battery life I ever had, I easily get past 7 hours of usage with more than 30 hours of standby. Phone is as fast as it ever was, I don't feel any hesitation.

Battery was replaced two months ago.
