Remaining Issues to test for this build
  • 3D Touch doesn't work on an Apple News link outside of the News app
  • Toggle on and off Settings>Notification>FaceTime>Show as Banner will crash Settings app
  • Clash Royale bug on iPhone X only; Open Clash Royale, Go to card collection but nowhere else, set your brightness to zero. It will start to stutter. You can make it smooth again using multiple methods; 1. start screen recording, 2. increase brightness, or 3. enable smart invert. Such an illogical iOS bug. Sometimes, making a screenshot will trigger the lag as well as getting a notification; this will sometimes either stop or start the stuttering
  • Clicking on a folder multiple times quickly will result in a glitch.
  • Initiating music playback on Apple Watch is partially fixed

Music playback via Siri is still not working properly on the watch. You can’t ask Siri on the watch to play an album; only artists or songs.

Only 2 new build numbers since last beta... could be the GM
Public release could drop tomorrow?

edit: Releasing both public and developer and only 2 builds difference from the last beta gives me the impression it's ready but they just want to make 100% sure nothing goes wrong

I wonder what they are working on in these betas. The bugs that are well known aren't getting fixed, and nobody has noticed any changes.

I vaguely remember there being a site that takes the ipsw files and extracts them to see what has changed in the system since the last beta/release. Is this still around? Anyone got a link? I'm really curious.

Probably security improvements and code cleaning/preparing for next release - You know boring stuff.

Hoping they are fixing the exploits of plugging in USB devices and hacking the passwords or other security fixes.

My battery life has been halved in beta 4. Not really happy about that. My 7 plus is heating up quite easily.

I can’t say battery is not a problem for others on this beta, but mine has been great all through these betas including 4. iPhone X. Maybe restart the phone and make sure it is no longer indexing by giving it a day or so. Gauging battery is not useful for the first 24 hours after a new OS installation.

True. Just restarted it. Hopefully that will help.
