So after using iOS 11 for a couple months, I've come to notice that Apple did a nice job as far as performance with the new app store. I find it to be one of the smoothest and fastest native apps on my 6s and iPad Pro 9.7 . Stuff loads instantly, no stutter, no lag, no input blocking, etc... Seems really polished to me. I hope they can fine tune the rest of iOS to behave similar.

In the today view for instance, open a link, there is a gesture that will close the link, hard to explain but it is a swipe down on the story's photo or video and it rolls back to the today view.

My only real complaint with the new app store is that reviews can no longer be sorted.

I love the new App Store and have frequented it many, many times more than I did before the revamp.

interesting, I originally had some of the similar feelings in that thread until I explored the app store a bit more.
Exactly! The App Store became a mess of a beast. I have no problem with the changes as it makes finding and exploring MUCH easier. Too many good apps were buried before. Not sure how anyone can argue with it.
