It's been excellent on my iPhone 6S. Also a big improvement on the iPad, with some major issues (reducing widgets to one column, for example).

I'm liking what I see so far. New enough with new features but still familiar enough that it isn't confusing. Makes my 7+ seem to run faster and smoother, plus it looks like the colors are more vibrant for some reason on both the phone and iPad Pro. Maybe it's me, but it sure seems that way.

It's pretty good so far. Still learning some of the features. It's been really good on my iPad Air 2. Feels like a whole new iPad.

I’ve been using it since the first beta, and it’s a lovely upgrade.

My 12.9 iPad Pro arrived yesterday... set it up to update to 11 when I left for work. The new 8+ arrives tomorrow.. I'm assuming with 11 installed but wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't.

Looking forward to iOS 11.

I really like it both on my iPhone 7 Plus and on the iPad Pro 12.9” the features in the iPad are great. I do think It will be great on the iPhone X as well, the whole swiping thing was built for that I think.

A brand new phone? That's a bit of a stretch. Its got some nice stuff, but it hardly makes it a new phone. It's a much more significant upgrade for iPads though.

I have a 7+, and it's like I just got a brand new phone.

This is the best update since going from iOS 3 to 4.

Is everyone else as happy as I am with it?
Can you make a phone call or compose a new text message from the lockscreen now? Without unlocking the device and opening the apps to do so?

I know it does poop animojis and games inside the messaging app. Guess that's great.

No, you can't.
[doublepost=1506006323][/doublepost]I've been happy with it since the first beta. Really happy with it on my iPhone although not as many changes there. On my iPad Pro, it has been awesome though.

Put it on my 6s+ as a beta a couple days back. I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. Some things look different and you get the pop up whenever you take a screenshot.

What is everyone so excited about? What are the new features that are so great for phones?

I’m not being snide as I’m genuinely curious for my own usage.

I’ve been getting a lot of stutters, 25% of the time when I open mail and safari, the opening animation is choppy as hell on my iPhone 7+.

That's weird. On my 7+ 256GB, it has been as fast as 10, no issues. Hard reset time maybe?

.

Than having your screen locked would be pointless. Otherwise, i could send some nasty txts from your phone with out your knowledge.

So far I have installed iOS 11 on the following: iPhone 7 Plus, 2017 iPad, iPhone 7, 9.7" iPad Pro and last but not least on an iPhone 6. In all cases iOS 11 is performing flawlessly with excellent performance and battery life. Even the "lowly" iPhone 6 is running iOS 11 fantastically. And without a doubt iOS 11 will continue to improve as Apple continues to solidify it with every release.

Assuming I lost my phone or allowed you to borrow it.

In the first case, you'd have to know the numbers I call/text (assuming a contact list does not pop up) and those numbers pretty much know me and/or would go to voicemail.

In the second case, I don't know you so you wouldn't be borrowing my phone. :)

I’m not a fan of iOS 11 on my iPhone 6. Lots of stuttering, and battery drain is an issue. I was planning on upgrading to the 8 but I opted for a 7 since I’m not really interested in the minor differences between the 7 and 8. 6 to 7 seems like a fairly substantive upgrade as it is.

Huh?

Of course it will have iOS 11 on it. The new iPhones don't support anything lower than iOS 11 and every year they ship with the newest iOS.
