Working correctly with 11.1 here.
Guessing the Live Photos is the problem setting and seems to be a bit counter-intuitive, imo.
To stop the Camera from always going to Live Photos being on, one needs to turn on Live Photos in Preserve Settings and then turn off in Camera. Now the Camera will always start in photo mode, no filters (both these off in Preserve Settings), Live Photos off.
Yep, me2. Live Photos. I like it off. But when opening the Camera sometimes Live Photos will be on again, sometimes not. Really annoying.
I’m getting this too on 1.1.1. I also get the introduction to portrait mode every time it resets, quite annoying...
Yup it's continuing to happen to me daily. Very frustrating. This continues to be my biggest bug in iOS 11. I absolutely hate it. Live settings and flash settings reset automatically. I also get the description of Portrait mode when this happens. It’s like all of the camera settings completely reset. So annoying.
A number of us have posted before and we all have the Preserve settings enabled for 1: Camera mode, 2: Filter & Lighting 3: Live PhotoGo to camera settings and check what you have set. Some options don’t preserve the setting you closed the app with.
Given that it's not really an issue for many, seems like that conspiracy wouldn't really work out. Seems like a weird bug of some sort that affects some devices/installations for some reason. This has been an issue for as long as I can remember. I clearly doubt apple has any intentions to fix it. They know about it but obviously have other motives. Live Photos take up much more space. So it is in Apple’s interest to keep this setting on as it would then require you to purchase more iCould space or buy phones with more storage memory. Both options mean more $$$ for Apple.
Who said it’s not an issue for many? Most people just don’t care or realize what is happening... My entire family has this issue and we have phones ranging from 6s to X...Given that it's not really an issue for many, seems like that conspiracy wouldn't really work out. On the other hand my entire family doesn't.Who said it’s not an issue for many? Most people just don’t care or realize what is happening... My entire family has this issue and we have phones ranging from 6s to X...
