After upgrade I have no visual voicemail... just an option to call voicemail (which I haven’t done since before the original iPhone). I tried resetting network settings but that didn’t help.
Any ideas?
Probably was calling the Voice Mail, then it took a bit for it to work. Good you got it working though!Ok.. so First I tried a hard reset. This did not solve the problem.
Next I tried to toggle WiFi on and off. Also no luck.
Step 3 I tried resetting network settings.. this again still left me with no Visual Voicemail.
4 - I called into voicemail and hung up after initial prompt.
Still no visual voicemail...
Finally I turned off WiFi - did a hard reset and when the phone rebooted WiFi was back on and voicemail had returned to normal functioning.
So ... one or all Of these actions or a combination may fix this issue for anyone I’m same situation. Good luck.
Btw - 7 plus AT&T
When mine does that, I wait a while. It will return. After upgrade I have no visual voicemail... just an option to call voicemail (which I haven’t done since before the original iPhone). I tried resetting network settings but that didn’t help.

Thanks for the steps, fixed my issues! Can’t access visual voicemail messages after IOS 11.0 update?
Easily solved as documented elsewhere (you may not have to go thru all steps and skip down to “5)”, however going thru these steps loaded all my old vms, which were “many”):
1) Turn off WiFi, and then “Reset Network Settings” (under Settings-General-Reset).
2) Then do hard reset of iPhone (for my 6+ that’s pressing/holding down Home and Power buttons until Apple logo appears).
3) Once you come back on go to Phone and you should “hear” vms (assuming you have “tones” set for that) coming in rapidly one after another.
4) I waited til that ended...After that, if still says “Call Voicemail” instead of showing visual voicemail...
5) Call your voicemail, enter password and viola, all visual passwords will appear.
NOTE TO APPLE SUPPORT: This glitch needs addressing by Apple Support in next update and it should be communicated to all users that they have available their vm password PRIOR to updating to 11.0
Pretty sure visual voicemail is a carrier feature. So, you have to wait a bit for the carrier to signal the phone it is ok to activate the feature. I see you completed some steps to force it along but if you waited a bit it would've done it on its own. Either way is the same result in the end. Can’t access visual voicemail messages after IOS 11.0 update?

I had this issue as well when I updated to iOS 11. I tapped the option to call my voice mail, after the service rang and answered I hung up, and Visual Voicemail magically started working again.
Thanks for the steps, fixed my issues!
