iOS 11 mail is garbage

Just got the iOS 11 upodate and wanted to see how well working with attachments from the Files app would work. So far 95% of the time when I attach something from my Dropbox location, nothing happens at all. Some PDFs so as attachment icons, others show as the whole document. I just want icons.

So far this feels like alpha software. I guess I have to wait still longer for Tim Cook's Apple to release software that actually works. Guess Apple is taking a page from Microsoft's playbook and releasing garbage and hoping to fix it later. And this went through over ten betas and it is still this disaster? WTF??

I'm readsy to throw my iPad out a f**king window.

Can you attach one pdf that thumbnailed and another that didn't. Also if it was consistently the same files that wouldn’t attach, perhaps one of those too. So far my attempts to attach have been fine but I and other members might be able to help you with this.

Okay, finally got home and had a chance to sit in front of this and work out what’s going on. When I try to attach documents from Files which stem from Dropbox, it doesn’t work. When I try to attach documents from files which stem from iCloud, that works every time. So it would seem Dropbox needs an update to properly work with iOS 11.

We’ll be seeing a lot of updates I am sure. I’ll check Google Drive an One Drive next and see what’s going on there. I barely use iCloud because the Mac isn’t my only computer. I use several and depend on Dropbox the most.
