Since graduating college, I have not had a TRUE need for a MacBook as I am not quite as "on the go" as I used to be. With that being said, my iMac and my iPhone are my go to items now. My iPad gets used on flights, and long trips, but that's about it.

This update has breathed fresh air into the iPad, and I can truly see this being the first time my iPad feels like it can truly bridge the gap between the iMac and the iPhone as a replacement of the MacBook.

Very well done - did not expect that when I installed iOS 11.

I’m pretty happy with this update as well. Been tinkering around with it this morning, and so far, the thing that makes me the most happy is the dock.

It's really beautiful for the iPad Pro! Lot to tinker around, new features so far i like it a lot!

Agreed - the dock (and its ability to pop up over any app) is what initially got my attention. It makes it feel LESS iOS and more MacOS.

I think this is only the start, and a huge step forward as far as making the iPad the type of device it deserves to be!

Is there anyway to disable the drag website links to the side feature? That is becoming irritating for me because my thumbs lock onto a link and it drags to the side instead of scrolling down like I want to. I use my iPad on my chest while laying down mostly that’s why I use my thumbs to scroll.

I agree. iOS 11 is a game changer for the iPad. Let’s hope,Apple keeps, investing in the platform and not taking advantage of customers.

The lags are pretty bad though. Hoping there is a significant bug fix release in .1

While i do enjoy the new drag and drop gestures, i am very disappointed about the lack of even a rudimentary [user accessible] file system. Some people say it is now up to app devs to integrate with the files app (a very misleading name!) but you can tell that Apple isn’t serious about this app because even iBooks isn’t integrated with it. Without the ability to share files between applications (without duplication),the ipad will never be a replacement for a laptop for me.
