Uber was the first, and only app that came to mind when reading this news. Seriously, Uber can suck it hard. Shady bastards.

In Waze...if you go to Settings>>General>>Location Change Reporting....and turn it off...Waze won’t run in the background...

...but you can still flip UBER off (-;

This is all a 'bridge' for users because i look at it and see users want easy of use and running of backgrounds apps while at the same time pushing for the "same" level of privacy, while not needing to think about anything themselves.

While this is all well and good, for the apps you do allow to use location for in the background, you now get a huge blue bar with a blinking status telling you when apps are using your location. I know Apple, I specifically gave them permission to do so!
