Apple will be releasing iOS 12.1.1 today, likely around 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time as usual, with several new features and bug fixes, including eSIM support for additional carriers on the latest iPhones, Live Photos support in FaceTime, Haptic Touch for notifications on iPhone XR, a Face ID bug fix, and more.

    iOS 12.1.1 release notes:
iOS 12.1.1 will be the minimum required iOS version for viewing ECG-related data in the Health app on iPhone from the ECG app on the Apple Watch Series 4, but we'll have to wait on the release of watchOS 5.1.2 for that.

Hopefully this means the new watchOS is coming with support for ECG!

Any improvement is always welcome. Unfortunately none of these address my current issues.
    Still, one can hope.

Does it fix the LTE issues with the crappy Intel Modem inside my iPhone XS Max?

I'd like to see the horrific battery life issues addressed. The Mail client has been eating my iPhone 8 Plus battery alive.

Huh, the number of changes and fixes seem more in line with a 12.x release rather than a 12.1.x release. I wonder why they decided to do it this way.

I don't care about the 4 and the ECG. I want them to fix the bloody email notification bug!

To me, this update is better even than 12.1 was. Some very useful little tweaks in here for a .x.x update

Really hoping to see the ECG feature released too!

And even more, hoping for a way to get it on my watch here in Denmark.

    Fingers crossed!

I hope this update is not just for the newest iPhone models, but also means something for older generations.

I had thought they will do the dual sim concept right. They didn't. It's just two sim cards. I thought Apple would differentiate itself in management of the cards and apps.

Where you can’t swipe a notification away (“dismiss”) on your watch? I thought this was just me who noticed this!

This was driving me crazy. Glad they realized it was a mistake.

Screen time is broken for me. I setup my daughter because she’s an iPhone abuser, but it doesn’t work. Downtime doesn’t work, no reporting of her usage...nothing. I’m the family sharing boss in charge, so we’ll see if this version corrects it. For what it’s worth, she’s on 12.1 and I’m on 12.1.1.

For all that support iOS 12 already. Why would it be any different?
