iOS 12.2 iPhone XS Lockscreen/Notification Center Music Widget Broken

Anyone else having an issue with the music widget? It appears when I play music like it should (I use Spotify), but all I get is a blank widget which only has text showing where the music is playing (iPhone or a BT device name). The play button isn’t functional and always says play even when music is playing. I’ve attached a photo. Keep in mind in this photo music from Spotify is actively playing, and caused the widget to appear in the first place. Never had this issue before 12.2.

I've restarted my phone, force quit my music app and I still keep running into this issue ever since I updated to iOS 12.2. Anyone else seeing this?
