Are there any issues? I try not to beta test, but just wanted to ask what is your experience and is it safe to upgrade. Is it worth it?

I just updated my 6 and its unusable. Insane lag and apps crashing all over. Disappointment so far. I suddenly have that "I need a new Phone feeling..."

Everything was fine 45 minutes.

Steve Jobs would be ashamed.

I'm getting the complete opposite. everything feels good on my end. If this keeps up ill get my battery replaced before the end of the year and use this phone for another year or two.

I just updated my 6s and it seems fine. Definite increase in speed in launching some apps (notably the camera), but otherwise feels about the same. My 6s was pretty speedy anyway. I'll report in a few days about battery life. It seems okay so far but last update I had battery problems that didn't seem to happen until night time. It would inexplicably drain completely overnight for no reason.

iOS 12 runs perfectly fine on 6s.

Just update.

(But if you are worried about anything, wait a week or two if some general issue comes up...performance is great, that’s not something to worry about)

I updated my 6s within the past hour and it’s working fine. My phone was already fast so it feels even faster. I’ve also got a brand new battery at 29.00 recently at Apple.

The only issue is my dock changed to a solid black background. My wallpaper is not even black at the bottom so I don’t know why it’s black. I even tried setttings and transparency but that doesn’t change anything it’s still black. The color of my wallpaper behind my dock is green grass so why my dock is black I have no idea.

Can you post a screen shot of that? I'd really like to see it.

upgraded my iP6 earlier and noticed...nothing. no real issues or speed increase. I saw Mail Grouped notifications once and then no more.

So what are you doing in the iOS 12 thread? Watching what others can have but you purposefully are not getting? Seems like masochism to me.
Just here to know how the new version is like for our device. I'm not the user you quoted but I have a 6s on iOS 9. I like to know how's performance and battery life on the newer iOS version.

I currently have iOS 12 installed on my Air 2.

Your lost iOS 12 is way better than 10. Better features and performance feels the same.
My 6S is as fast now as the day I bought it and I want five years from it before I decide what to do next. iOS builds always slowdown older devices as Apple is pretty lame at doing proper performance testing.

iMy 6s has never worked better than on iOS12 including what it shipped with (iOS9). My Air2 is absolutely fabulous too. So happy to be off 11.4.1

I also want to keep my phone as long as possible and I can assure to you that my 6s plus is still very fast and fluit with iOS 12.

The thing I don't like when using a version of iOS older than 2 years is some apps start to stop supporting this iOS version so if possible, I want to be as up to date as possible on my iOS devices.

It is great that apparently performance was increased for older devices like the 6s, but I wonder what the effects on battery life might be. I see two possibilities:
  1. the system and apps run more efficient, hence better performance, and also longer battery life because there is less to compute, or
  2. the system and apps drain more power from the battery in order to provide a better performance, hence shorter battery life.
I realize it is very early after the release of iOS12, but if anyone with a 6s could share their first impressions regarding battery effects, that would be very appreciated. I am too hesitant to update right now ;)

My iPhone 6s is FASTER than the day I bought it. Literally, I might cancel my iPhone XS order. It’s that fast and snappy!
