Has anyone got any experience running the public beta on iPad only? Will I get any strange things happening with iCloud sync or iCloud photos...

I have done just what you are planning to do with my iPad Pro 12.9 both last year, with the beta for iOS 11, and now with the beta for iOS 12. I do use an iPhone X, and I have not experienced anything out of the ordinary at all as far as iCloud and photo sharing goes. Actually right now I’m having no problems at all and am planning on installing Public Beta 6.

I would leave you the standard caution that this is beta, and therefore things may change.

No issues so far. Running public beta on my iPad Pro but don’t have the balls to install it on my iPhone as it will break some key apps that I use. It has practically breathed new life into my 9.7” iPad Pro.

I always installed betas on my iPad and stay with the current iOS version on my phone and never got a single issue doing this since iOS 9.

Thanks for the all the feedback, installed the public preview on my iPad and going to keep my iPhone on the latest release of iOS 11.

Put beta 8 on iPad Pro 10.5 and ipx smooth sailing. 1.5GB instal on each.

I’d be tempted to install on my iPhone X but I have an issue with the “Open VPN Connect app”. It connects but drops as soon as you put the app into the background. Hope the devs fix it before release...
