That gives me hope! ThanksYou're forgetting Saturday. Don't think Apple does releases on a Saturday? Well, they have, and let's look at the last time they did:

Oh no reason.
Except the guys working at Foxconn Zhengzhou need software to load onto the 50,000 units of iPhones being assembled every day. Those iPhones need to be on air cargo pallets in the next 14 days so they can reach stores and UPS distribution points on September 21.
So, no reason at all.
They basically know what’s causing it...probably already fixed and update released today.
I mean, it’s annoying, but it’s not the end of the world...
Nah I think it's something to do with how close it thinks we are to some expiry date. Further back you got it occasionally, now it's with every lock screen dismissal. That's why some people have stopped it by changing the date on their phone to a few days ago.the update error is server side it happens on beta 10 or 11 so a beta 12 wouldn't fix it

iOS 11 beta 10 was released on September 6 last year. Phone launch on September 22.
There's no reason to distribute that build to the public though, especially if it contains things like new wallpapers that Apple would like to keep under wraps until the iPhone event.
Source?
this is the speculation thread
Beta 12 is out, downloading now.
Tell us your secretsI’m the source - Was I wrong?
I mean...he said 8am or 10am.. Pretty much all of us expected a beta today to fix the issue. So he kind of narrowed it down to the only possibilities.Tell us your secrets
I didn’t realise 8am was a ‘known’ release time (10am and 1pm being more common). Unless it’s just common sense cos it’s around the earliest time you might expect enough people to be in the office to do it?I mean...he said 8am or 10am.. So 8am and 10am weren’t the only possibilities? There have been a handful of 8am releases in the past. Both public and beta.
Prior to iOS 7, betas didn’t have a set time like 10am. They would come out at all hours, including 5pm on a Friday night.
To my knowledge, there has never been a 7am release. It’s possible it’s getting confused with daylight savings time. But 8am has occurred a handful of times.Sorry, while I normally agree with you, I actually came across information in this case. 8AM PST is extremely rare (can’t recall a release at this time to be honest), whereas 7AM sometimes happens but 10AM is the standard.
I mean, now days they are. That was all pre-iOS 7. Post iOS 7 it’s been 8am, 10am and 1pm.So 8am and 10am weren’t the only possibilities?
