I have found the following Keyboard/Mouse Devices and Features with iOS 13.4 works and doesn’t work

**this is for iPhones/iOS not iPads/iPadOS**

Does not work:
-Magic Mouse 2
-Magic Trackpad
-Magic Trackpad 2

Work with limited features:
-Magic Mouse (can not scroll) works like it did prior to 13.4
-Apple Keyboard/s (iOS or Mac hotkeys do not work unless programmed to)

Full features:
-Original Apple Mouse with Scroll Ball!
(You are also able to program button 3 and button 4 on this mouse)(button 3 is pressing the scroll ball down, middle of the left/right click and button 4 is squeezing the two side bottoms) those that have use the original mouse remembers this mouse! It was awesome until the scroll ball got used and immediately stopped tracking because of the godpartical of dust would get on it, anyways!

The Magic Mouse 2 and both Apple TrackPads do not work on iOS. However the Magic Mouse 1 and the older Apple Mouse with the trackball does. Now the Magic Mouse 1 scrolling does not work. However the older Apple Mouse with the track all works great! The left/right click and scroll now work on everything just like on a Pc/Mac. Glad I kept all these devices to test them out.

The Cursor or I should say circle is nice! It does not snap to buttons or anything like iPadOS. It’s free motion just like a pc/mac.

Also you can now just click on the line at the bottom of the screen on none home button iOS devices and it will take you to the springboard

I have my button 3 set to app switcher since ⌘+tab doesn’t work anymore for the keyboard and I have button 4 set to home

These buttons can be adjusted to what you like

I have the Magic Trackpad working. Doesn’t support gestures, though. (Tried it with two different Magic Trackpads, both version 1, and same deal with both. Can move the pointer, but no gestures or two-finger tap for right click)

It’s weird. I think that’s the same for iPadOS as well. I am down to only an iPhone now cause it works for what I need and don’t have an iPad to test but I have heard this Issue is on the iPad as well

maybeApple is slowly implementing these features. I wouldn’t put it pass them to some day combine iPadOS and macOS together. (Personally, I would rather not see that)

Really need help on this

i have a logitech pebble mouse
it was working great beforein ios 13.3 but after updating to 13.4 when i slide up the mouse from bottom of screen to upward the app drawer does not open
any way i can make it like before or is it permanent ?

I have been using it tonight and find that while it is good and I do like it overall, it feels like a lot of things have now become harder to do when using a mouse.

For example, getting to the home screen, requires some monstrous drag down, then keep dragging until you get there. Same from the notification panel back, mega slide upwards.

I have watched some videos of people using magic trackpads and it works a lot better. So it does feel as though this was primarily designed to sell you a trackpad or the Magic Trackpad case over using your normal Bluetooth mouse.

Also seems as though apps may need updates to work best? E.g. some apps the text selection etc was just not a good experience.

Hopefully though, official support + magic keyboard means it can only get better as more use it!

I am not sure your experience, but my magic mouse 2 and magic keyboard 2 run well & smooth on iPad Air 3.

I think external mouse and keyboard are intended to use together. Switching to home screen, you can just Ctrl-Cmd. My opinion might be wrong anyway.

Hi guys, I am using a Logitech MX Master with my older gen iPad Pro (with home button), For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get back to the home screen from an App using just the mouse. In the newer iPads there is a line at the bottom which allows that, but there is no such line on the older iPads.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, sometimes I drag the cursor to the bottom and it peeks a tiny but but the drawer doesn’t open.

You have to drag all the way to the bottom of the screen, then keep dragging down past the bottom. It will first open the dock, then by keeping dragging downwards it will pull open the home screen. Really annoying on a mouse.

If you have an iPad with Face ID, you can click on the swipe bar at the bottom of the screen and it brings up the home screen as well.

You're right, the drag up doesn't work. But like tann said, if you drag the pointer to the bottom of the screen then the dock will popup. If you keep dragging down then it will take you to the home screen.

BTW, if you have slide over apps dragging to the side will pop them out - just keep dragging. Same with hiding them. At least on the iPad, not sure on iPhone.
