Me too. Each person is different. But i been using it for a day. And it just seems jarring to me. And i get eye strain after a while. Is there a way to make it less jarring? It sounds stupid. But i wish i could make it less dark. If that makes sense.

Agreed. I think dark mode is harder on my eyes than regular mode. I’ve always used Night Shift in the evenings and never had issues, but dark mode is definitely a bit too dark and ugly for my taste.

No biggie - I was just so surprised to see what it actually looks like after hearing so much hype about it.

Super weird design choice on iPad. The floating keyboard on a 12.9” iPad Pro is miserably small. Like iPhone SE small at best. That’s absolutely unusable to me.

Yeah I don't like that floating keyboard either but I guess it's really intended for one handed carrying and typing, rather than the split two handed one. I have the keyboard attached 24/7 anyway. As soon as I log off work the iPad is my main "being a douche on the internet" machine 😀

How does Siri look? Do calls still hijack the screen? There’s a trend in this iOS to get out of the way. The new volume bar is one. Siri in CarPlay now shows the Siri wave over the UI, rather than a frosted pane over the UI. Would be great if this is how it looked on iOS.

Yes I know it’s a beta and bugs to be expected.

Submitted feedback for two issues this morning.

The first is incoming calls intermittently being sent straight to voicemail. This is from contacts and even numbers who have emergency bypass.

The second is handoff & continuity camera not working properly. Handoff works no problem iPhone/iPad to MacOS Catalina.

But iPhone to iPad (or vice versus) and macOS to iPhone/iPad doesn’t and none of the troubleshooting steps solve it.

But for a beta 1 this is fairly stable and certainly not as bad as iOS 10 Beta 1 was.

I just listened to a WWDC session and the presenter said 3D Touch works the same as it always has. Maybe this is a bug?

Tapping the 3 dots on the right hand side of the markup palette gives you the option to auto minimise the palette. This can then be moved around the screen.

Private Browsing in Safari got a minor makeover. Dark mode regular Safari is the same tint as previous iOS versions’ private browsing mode. Dark Mode Private Browsing is even darker.

What’s most interesting? Light Mode Private Browsing still uses a white theme, with a gray URL bar.

I'm interested to see how this works. I have a VZW e-sim and a Vodaphone physical SIM. Would be great to have it "just work"

Press and hold between the 4 connectivity toggles to see the expanded controls. Then press and hold the WiFi toggle

Everything is going well on my XS Max. A couple of issues I've encountered and not solved as yet.

Notes app. I can see the previews of my notes but when I click on the note I can't see it.

Home App. I have 3 Omna 180 cameras and a Netatmo Welcome. I can see the preview of the cams but when I click on them I just get a full grey screen and can hear the audio. (no video)

(If I use the native apps for the cameras the video is fine)

Safari App. When playing video full screen the screen goes grey and I can hear the audio. (Chrome is ok)
