iPhone iOS 13 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

My Xs is getting really hot and battery drops like crazy. Also the screen brightness goes up and down like crazy. Even the smart case seems to go nuts.

I turned off photos in the iCloud on the phone. I got prompted to delete all local copies. Said yes, yet they’re still there. Any ideas?

Typical beta behaviour.
I had an issue with iCloud on beta 1 too when I was trying to delete something and it looked like everything was deleted, but still was present on my Mac which I didn't update to Catalina.

for me the photos seem completely screwed up in terms of syncing. and I keep getting this "analyzing library"

Standard Apps are all offloaded for me after a complete restore and there is no way to load them again. Just clicking the app doesn't work, clicking the cloud symbol in the App Store doesn't work too.
So no Mails, no Contacts, no Weather, no Music, ...
Anyone else experiencing this?
 
The location icon is always displayed on my iPhone XR on beta 2. It doesn't seem to be affecting battery life, and I think it's a bug because even when I turn all location services OFF, the icon is still there.

Beats me. Typically via wired headphones, to a USB DAC via the Lightning-Camera (USB) adapter. Also in my car via Bluetooth iirc, but can't test that reliably at the moment. Filed a bug.

I don’t have 4 MacBook Airs and not sure which to turn off. Was fine in beta 1 but seems to have gone awry in beta 2.

Is anyone having trouble with blue tooth headphones in general? I have paired both my PowerBeats3 and generic blue tooth headphones and neither one works. As soon as I touch the volume on the phone it cuts out on the headphone and then sporadically cuts in and out.
 
Is it just me or the dock looks brighter now when using light mode? Or maybe it's just me using only dark mode.
 
I am having serious LTE Calling issues. 1st or 2nd call fails. 3rd call goes through. Even receiving calls is not reliable. Phone directly shows missed call notification without ringing. My operator is Jio (India) and is VoLTE only.
 
Issue I am having is that my XS Max won't display the prompt to trust my computer.

I have been through all the troubleshooting including resetting the privacy settings. But nothing has worked. All worked fine on Beta 1 and Catalina Beta 1. But Beta 2 seems to have broken something.

Edit - Appears this is a Catalina issue. I just connected to my Wife's computer which is on Mojave and the trust/don't trust pop up came up.

Also same issue with my iPad Pro. Sidecar works wirelessly. If I plug in the USB-C to Lightning cable then it fails with this error message. Not sure how that is related.

****Solved****

Finally solved the issue.

For some reason Beta 2 of Catalina had disabled this section. Once I enabled this the device appeared in the sidebar. I could then click pair on my Mac and that brought up the trust prompt.

Reminders behavior seems to have changed. I wasn’t on beta 1 but on beta 2, the notifications are no longer persistent. On iOS 12 the notification would stay on the lock screen until it was completed.

Bug or change?
 
Hmmm, I’m in 2 minds. Maybe you guys can tell me what you think?

1. Install iOS 13 beta 2 on a spare iPhone 7 (never used) just to mess around.

Or

2. Install iOS 13 beta 2 on my daily driver iPhone X.

What say you peeps?

Yep. Just happened to me. Phone vibrated, watch is silent. Not all the time though. Also woke up this morning and my watch screen wouldn’t turn on, yet the device was still responding..I felt haptic feedback when I held the power button. I guess it’s a watchOS 6 bug.
