The HomePod page was updated to say the new features are 'coming this Autumn/fall'. I don't think there's been a more specific date announced.

Thought I heard read somewhere that iOS 13.2 will have the updates for HomePod. Don’t quote me on that though. Really need that multi user support

On some of Apple's own websites in some countries it said some features would arrive 0n the 29th of September, most now only say Autumn/Fall

I could be 100% confused ... but I think the only Homekit "hub" is the two HomePods I have. When I go into Shortcuts => Automation => Create Home Automation => <pick something such as A Time of Day occurs > => Next => Advanced, Convert To Shortcut (at the very bottom) I get "Software Update Required" (and iPhone and iPad is at 13.1 so I'm assuming it is talking about my HomePod.

Is that the right conclusion? Anyone know?

I'm thinking it was supposed to drop today if memory served. Guess we'll know about noon today. It needs it because iOS 13 and it don't play super well together

Just a heads up: the new radio feature on the HomePod works as of this morning, did not have to download a software update. (HomePod is still on 12.4)

Change of topic slightly... the Software Upgrade path is to go to Home, then touch the Home icon in the upper left, and then pick Software Update. Fine... but I have two HomePods. So, which one (or both?) will get updated? Any ideas / suggestions?

Both will. I do the same for my both and all get updated.

I read that iOS 13 for HomePod was supposed to be released today, September 30 but it has not happened.

All HomePods will get updated.

I'm eagerly awaiting the iOS 13 update for HomePod. I'm glad Shortcuts will work with the iOS 13.1.2 update released today, but I'm waiting to upgrade my Reminders to the new database format. The way access to the new Reminders database has been rolled out has been frustrating.

iOS 13.1.2 completely messed up my HomePod, Shortcuts not working is one thing, but being trapped in a question loop that never ends (You have to request music to stop it) is unbearable. HomeKit does not work, or does work with HomePod, but will always give an error message

I think i'm looking to the homepod update as much as I was for the iOS update. Hope it drops soon!

HomePod still not responding to shortcuts after latest update. iPhone and watch working find. Is it working for anyone?

Can you be more explicit by your question? I can get Play/Pause on <homepod name> to work. It causes the HomePod to start playing music. But I can’t find any other thing that can target a HomePod.

I have 3 Apple TV 4 and 1 4k. I set up shortcuts to wake/sleep the 4 apple tvs. My iPhone and watch work great to wake/sleep these tvs. Before latest update My HomePod would reply, shortcuts unavailable at this time. After the latest update it now replies, can't find anything like that at this time. I was asking if anyone else having this problem. I believe this bug was to be fix in iOS 13.1

So it looks like the homepod software won't hit until iOS 13.2 looking at the iOS handoff feature.

A bit disappointing that there still is no update. Apple have to work bit harder if they want people to buy HomePod.

I don't expect it until 13.2 arrives. We still have iOS 13.1.4-.5-.6.7.8.9.901 to go and then we will get 13.2.

They are so disorganized this year it's simply amazing. The result of poor leadership.. Insert Tim Cook.

What made Apple great wasn't a good new CEO, but rather a lasting idea of who the company is that many of the staff hold to to this day outside of who it's directionless CEO is

It’s disappointing not really surprising that Apple is focusing on fixing bugs in the iPhone, Apple Watch, etc and leaving the relatively small number of people with Homepods waiting.

i was keen to set music to go with scenes in HomeKit, which was listed as a feature around June, but doesn’t seem to be coming anymore.

Where did you see that that feature was scrapped?
